![]() ![]() ![]() Level VI (Skill Proficiency): Proficient with all the major strokes and can swim 100 yards of freestyle and backstroke, 50 yards of breaststroke, and 25 yards of butterfly. Level V (Stroke Refinement): Able to dive from a diving board, swim freestyle and backstroke uninterrupted for 50 yards, and breaststroke for 25yards. Level IV (Stroke Development): Able to swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke, dive from the side of the pool, and tread water for 2 minutes. Level III (Stroke Readiness): Able to retrieve objects underwater with eyes open, jump from the side of the pool into deep water and return to the side of the pool independently. Learning to swim and float short distances independently on back and belly, and longer distances with support from a flotation device. Level II (Primary Skills): Able to submerge underwater and feel comfortable in the pool environment. Level I (Water Exploration): For beginning swimmer with little or no experience who is comfortable holding onto the wall and using flotation devices independently. This level is for 3- and 4-year old’s only. Pre-level (Adapting to Aquatic Environment): Begin exploring aquatic environment. *Half day Program only.ĥ – 6-year-old age group: Will participate in learn to swim programming, sport games, social/emotional development, wacky wild themed activities, crafts, and more!ħ – 9-year-old age group: Will participate in fun games, team sports, social development, and swimming lessons.ġ0 – 14-year-old age group: Will participate on team building, team sports, fun games, social development, swimming skills, and more! In the afternoon of each day there will be different programs for each age group to participate in that we have scheduled. Each child will go to lunch at Sutherland Hall. The 5–14-year-old age group morning programing will be very similar to traditional PK that will feature swimming lessons and gym activities for all kids. This year there will also be a pre and post care option for families to take advantage of. PK will be a full day camp for ages 5-14 and half day morning camp for ages 3-4. Pitt’s Kids Summer Camps will be back in person this coming summer at Trees Hall! There have been a few changes to the program this coming summer from previous summers. ![]()
